Setting up Wifi Star TSP 143 on Mac

If your printer is not yet connected to Wi-Fi, do this first:
Option A: Use the Printer’s AP ModeTurn on the printer.
Hold the "Feed" button until it prints a configuration sheet.
Look for the "AP" (Access Point) Mode SSID and connect to that network from your Mac (e.g., TSP100-XXXXXX).
Go to http://192.168.10.1 in your browser to access the printer’s web interface.
Under Network Settings, select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
Save and reboot the printer.
Once it reconnects, press the "Feed" button again to print the new IP address.

Download the Star CUPS driver for macOS.
Install the driver by opening the .pkg file and following the instructions.
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
Click the "+" button to add a new printer.
Your Star printer should show up if it's on the same Wi-Fi network.
Select it and make sure to choose Star CUPS Driver (not Generic).
Click Add.
Once added:
Go to Printers & Scanners again.
Select the printer.
Click Open Print Queue > Printer > Print Test Page.
✅ Step 1: Connect the Cash Drawer
Plug the RJ11 cable from the cash drawer into the DK port on the back of the Star printer.
No power is needed for the drawer — the printer sends the open signal.
Install the Star CUPS driver for macOS:

Search for TSP143IIIW
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
Click “+” to add the printer.
Select the Star TSP143IIIW (it must be on the same Wi-Fi).
Choose the Star CUPS driver, not the Generic driver.
Click Add.
Run a test transaction in BravaPOS.
The cash drawer should pop open after printing the receipt.
