If a printer or cash drawer stops working first verify the printer is plugged in and has power and that its connected to the computer.

If those are both done, go to control panel, devices and printers, and make sure your printer does NOT have USE PRINTER OFFLINE enabled OR is PAUSED.

If that is set properly then follow the steps below

Step 1. Clear the print queue of the printer

Step 2. Use the Uninstall feature that comes with the printer driver  --- Please note if you are unable to uninstall the printer you may need to follow these instructions to clear the Print queue  https://www.howtogeek.com/100358/how-to-cancel-or-delete-a-stuck-print-job-in-the-windows-print-queue/

Step 3. Once uninstalled it will ask you to Restart from the uninstall, select NO and restart from Go to assist to avoid getting disconnected from client

Step 4. Once restarted, Reinstall the printer. Setup from the Driver

Step 5. if the printer does not appear Restart the computer Again

Step 6. Once you are able to go into the Printer Properties go to Ports and make sure to change it from PTTUSB to 001USB or whatever 00[_]USB is available

Step 7. if the printer seems to have disappeared restart computer again

Step 8. Once you're able to see the printer again go to the printer properties and do the cash drawer setting and set as default

Step 9. test print.

There may also be an issue with the printer port (if the device was moved recently for instance). Please check the Ports of the device settings, in the printer properties, port assigned to the device should be I selected. Example Port: USB001.

The port below isn't correct, it should be on USB001.
